Heidi’s Bliss Balls

INGREDIENTS

1½ cups pitted dates
¼ cups raisins
½ cup unsweetened coconut
1 cup sunflower seeds
3T cocoa powder

Put the dates and raisins in a medium bowl and cover with hot water.

While they soak, lightly toast the coconut in a dry skillet.

Process the coconut, sunflower seeds and cocoa powder in a food processor or hand held “wizzer” until crumbly.

Drain the fruit (they don’t need to soak long, you just want to re-hydrate them a bit), reserving the soak water, and add them to the food processor.

Process everything together until it gets clumpy and sticky. Add small bits of the reserve water if necessary, or just drink it – it’s very good for you 🙂

Remove from processor and roll into balls. – I made about 20 out of a batch this size.

You might like to roll some of your bliss balls in: toasted sesame and black salt, cinnamon, cocoa powder, coconut… ENJOY!
